Leadership Clinic

Our Leadership Program is Growing and it is Great to see so much Interest from our students in becoming helpers, Leaders, Assistants and perhaps one day Instructors! Our program is currently the Largest it’s ever been with the Participation of Both Schools! We worked on the concept of Teaching and how it differs from Instructing, Drilling and Coaching…all of which are integral parts of running a good class.

There are some events coming up that will be Leader driven, but ALL Students are encouraged to attend and participate (Saturday in the Park, Talbot County Fair, etc) We have some Amazing Role Models in our program veterans (SBN KT, KSN Marvel, KSN Campbell, KSN Stotts), who now take such an active role in helping me shape the next generation of Leaders. I know that I couldn’t do it without them! Tang Soo!!!

*Talk with Sa Bom Nims/Kyo Sa Nims about qualifications for Academic Achiever

Academic Achievement

We like to recognize our Outstanding Students, especially when they perform as well in Academics as they do in the Do Jang. So, as the school year wraps up, and you see those great grades coming in, or see marked improvement in your students throughout the year, please let us know and we will recognize their Academic Achievement, including Homeschoolers, at the Annual Picnic.

If you have a Graduating Senior, let us know what their next step is, and we will include that in their recognition.

Please Let us know by June 17th!

See you at the Picnic! Thank You!!

DRINK WATER!

In the SUMMER you NEED to maintain your water intake! It is all too easy to become dehydrated in the Chaotic Changing Weather!

HOW MUCH SHOULD I DRINK?!

Simple: (your body weight) ÷ 2 = the fluid ounces of water you should drink in a typical day  Example- 160 lbs. ÷ 2 = 80 oz. of water/day. This should be a minimum amount for a training day and this number should increase on the days you know exercise is in your schedule!  PLEASE STAY HYDRATED!

The Body Achieves what the Mind Believes

DON’T FORGET – KEEP CONSISTENT WITH YOUR SCHEDULE!

Make a schedule – keep a schedule – GET TO CLASS!

Summer Scheduling is difficult! The weather is HOT!, Summer activities and Vacations, Tea Party, Independence Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, ALL makes it hard to get to class and keep up with requirements and keeping in shape. If we stop to think about it for a minute, it becomes clear that the discipline and focus we gain from attending class will HELP all the rest of our activities and commitments fall into place! AND, the benefit from consistency is well worth it! Do your best to set a schedule, and then…KEEP IT!

Martial Arts training is the perfect cross-training for ANY sport! It enhances your reactions, helps to keep the muscles healthy and strong, and improves our endurance. The Focus gained keeps your mind sharp and helps your Academics. And the physical activity also helps with better, more fulfilling sleep. Make it simple, make a schedule and then keep it – for you and your kids!
