Sa Bom Nim Lindsay Update

This was posted Saturday…

(as written by her sister Joslin)

“Good morning everyone,
After a brief break from surgical procedures, Elizabeth will be returning to the operating room tomorrow for additional work on her face and jaw. Today marks two weeks since her accident. She remains in the ICU and is still on the ventilator for most of the day, but she is fighting hard for her recovery. Unfortunately, she has also contracted hospital-borne pneumonia. While her medical team is not overly concerned, we ask for specific prayers for her recovery from this as well.
Elizabeth’s brain injury has become more apparent, but she is making progress at her own pace on the TBI scale. For those interested in learning more, you can look up the Rancho Los Amigos scale for brain injuries. She is understandably restless—being confined is incredibly tough for someone who is not used to being sedentary. We do our best to keep her spirits up and help see her through this.
Yesterday, her amazing medical team arranged to take her outside for a bit. It was quite the sight, with a special rolling chair/bed and all her wires connected to portable units. But seeing the joy on her face as she felt the fresh air was truly priceless.
Tomorrow, Ryde4Me will be hosting a ride fundraiser, and I know many people who love her will be there, eagerly awaiting the caravan’s arrival at the hospital. Please feel free to share any pictures or videos you take on my Facebook page, as I’m putting together a binder filled with all the love and support she has received.
Additionally, there will be a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser in September in North Huntingdon. I will provide more details as the date approaches and everything is finalized.
Thank you all so much for your continued prayers, love, and support. It means the world to us.

With gratitude,
John, Erica, Stewart, Peter, Joslin and families.”
