Regardless of age, Statistics show that people who exhibit Self-Confidence are less likely to be Bullied and people with Low Self-Esteem are more likely to Be Bullies. Martial Arts training can be a Key Factor Preventing and Deflecting Bullying, and in improving our Mental and Physical Health by:

  1. Providing Stress Relief
  2. Providing Purpose
  3. Providing Physical and Mental Exercise

Red Belt, Black Belt Testing, Pre-Tests and Re-Certifications

It was a VERY Intense and Demanding Test this weekend!

ALL of our students showed the most important key to being an Amazing Martial Artist…Perseverance.

Physicality, technique and stamina are just a part of what it takes to make it through these tests. Character, Determination, Willingness and simply the Desire to Just Don’t Quit lie at the Heart of our Tang Soo Do Philosophy and Training. I am humbled by the True Pure Spirit of my students.

Tournaments aren’t just about competition with others, they’re about us…preparing ourselves, improving ourselves, learning and challenging ourselves. They are also about building friendships, long-lasting connections with other martial artists and the experience gained.

Our Choong Jae Nim had a message for us last year:

“Tang Soo, Everyone!!!!
I am very excited that we have this opportunity to have our inter-school tournament. This tournament is beneficial for all color belts and black belts. Through this experience you will improve your self-defense and confidence. This is an opportunity to challenge yourself. You will also have a chance to learn while spending time with your C.S. Kim Karate family.”

Sa Bom Nim Lindsay Update

October 18, 2024 by Joslin Cameron, Organizer

I know it’s been a while since my last update on Elizabeth, but life has been busy here in Florida! Thankfully, she continues to make steady progress on her recovery journey. Each day brings new steps forward, and while the road has its challenges, she’s impressing her care team at the rehab facility and keeping her spirits high.

I’m thrilled to share that her discharge is on the horizon! We won’t say exactly when, as we don’t want to jinx anything, but when the day comes, it will be a fantastic celebration! After discharge, she’ll continue her recovery with home health care for PT and OT.

Elizabeth also has a minor outpatient procedure scheduled for Tuesday at Forbes. This will be a significant step toward helping her eat more normally, and we’re all excited about what this next week will bring.

Thank you to everyone who has been following her journey, praying for her, and providing support. We are incredibly grateful, as is she! Can’t wait to share the good news with you all soon!
