Snow and Ice Update
We hope that everyone continues to be safe and warm in this rather unique icy-snow storm aftermath. After finally chiseling my way out of the driveway and bobsledding out of my neighborhood, I drove around looking at conditions everywhere that I could. The parking lot at the Chestertown Do Jang has been somewhat plowed, however it is still very icy and not completely safe. Rural roads are treacherous, and even though the county and state have been vigilant on the main roads, they too have many icy spots. The main shopping centers are still pretty hazardous and many businesses are still closed. I can only imagine that Talbot County is very much the same. Although cabin fever could persuade me otherwise, I believe that the safest thing for everyone is to not put you into that situation…(number 1 rule of self-defense?).
We will remain closed at both schools tonight and re-evaluate again tomorrow.
Originally we were going to be closed on Friday for a special Leadership outing, however, in light of these weather conditions and the subsequent canceling of classes at the start of this week, we will postpone that event and hold a normal class schedule for Friday evening at both locations. (Revised week below)
Be safe, have fun and we will see you in class soon!
