Regardless of age, Statistics show that people who exhibit Self-Confidence are less likely to be Bullied and people with Low Self-Esteem are more likely to Be Bullies. Martial Arts training can be a Key Factor Preventing and Deflecting Bullying, and in improving our Mental and Physical Health by:

Sa Bom Nim Lindsay Update

  • September 22nd, 2024 by Joslin Cameron, Organizer

Many of you have been patiently waiting for news about my sister, and we truly appreciate your support. I’m excited to share that Elizabeth is making remarkable progress in rehab since her accident on August 10th! Her injuries are healing well, and thankfully, she’s encountered minimal setbacks, which we’re so grateful for.

Elizabeth is focusing on her nutrition and is working hard to transition off her PEG tube. She’s now able to enjoy a liquid diet orally, which is a huge step forward! This week, she had a follow-up appointment with her orthopedic surgeon, she will need another surgery on her right wrist/arm, they’re planning to schedule that within the next two weeks. During this upcoming surgery, she’ll receive a bone graft from her hip to repair the damage.

We’ve also had some encouraging discussions about her discharge from rehab, and we’re hopeful she’ll be able to leave by early October. Elizabeth is in fantastic spirits and continues to be the badass we all know her to be. I’m incredibly proud of her resilience and determination!
I’ll keep you updated on her surgery date and ways we can support her through this journey. Thank you all for your love and encouragement!

Very brief update. Elizabeth is recovering with continued forward momentum. Her jaw wires were removed last Wednesday and she will have the rest of her hardware taken out of her mouth under sedation soon. She also has a surgery scheduled for her right arm where they will be using a bone graft from her hip.

She is in GREAT spirits and is more like herself every single day!

Her OT and PT are going extremely well and her sense of humor has the staff in stitches every day!

Kate Campbell

Some of you are aware, but perhaps not everyone, that Kyo Sa Nim Campbell’s daughter Kate was in a terrible car accident last Wednesday. She stable but sedated at Christiana hospital, under observation for brain injury. There was swelling and a procedure was performed to relieve the pressure. She is responding positively to that while they continue to monitor her progress. Please join me and the instructors in prayers for her speedy recovery and in offering any help that we can to the Campbell family. We are all one large Tang Soo Do family and here for each other.
