Sa Bom Nim Lindsay Update
October 26, 2024 by Joslin Cameron, Organizer
Earlier this week, I shared that Elizabeth underwent a minor outpatient procedure on Tuesday morning. The procedure involved removing a bone fragment that had worked its way through her gums from her previous jaw injury. We were excited to announce that, after 73 days in the hospital, she would finally be able to continue her recovery at home! She was placed under general anesthesia for the procedure, and we celebrated her discharge around 3 PM with a lunch outing.
Unfortunately, that evening, her condition worsened due to significant swelling in her tongue and throat, which is believed to be an unfortunate complication of the intubation required while under general anesthesia, and prevented her from eating or drinking or taking much needed medications by mouth. We returned her to Forbes for IV fluids, medication, and observation. While the swelling is gradually improving, she remains admitted for now. We are hopeful she’ll be officially discharged soon.
Although this is a setback, we believe she will recover fully. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, specifically for the swelling to decrease, for no lasting effects from the throat injury, and for her emotional well-being as she copes with this situation after being so close to freedom. Thank you for your support!

Our Choong Jae Nim had a message for us last year:
“Tang Soo, Everyone!!!!
I am very excited that we have this opportunity to have our inter-school tournament. This tournament is beneficial for all color belts and black belts.
