The Perfect Tournament to LEARN – PRACTICE – WATCH

Long Day, Tiring Action, Exciting Events, Frustration, Enthusiasm and an Overall Sense of Accomplishment on All Levels!

These words, and so many more can be used to describe the Feelings and Challenges Experienced at Any Martial Arts Tournament…

However, when it’s your own co-hosted tournament, it’s your 10th Annual one, and you are watching your students go through all these emotions and trials, it impacts you a little differently. There is more to be said than I can possibly convey in this message. As I roam the room, watching the action in various rings, talking to competitors, judges and parents… evaluating the flow of the competitions, helping where it’s needed, directing and advising Masters KT Pagano and Michael DePaolis as they literally managed and ran this tournament… it brings into focus just how much we have all grown and learned and become better, more amazing people and martial artists.

This event has grown and changed, as have the students, instructors, masters and everyone involved in helping, volunteering, supporting and encouraging.

I want to Thank Everyone involved and tell you that I am proud to be your Coach, Mentor, Sa Bom Nim and hopefully your inspiration…but if I’m being honest…YOU are all MY inspiration! Tang Soo!!!

Your Competition in Not with Other People…

It’s with your Procrastination.

It’s with your Excuses.

It’s with the Skill that you Neglect.

Compete against That and Conquer Yourself. – Unknown

If You’re Nervous, that’s Good. You’re Human.

However, don’t let it Debilitate you.

Your Body doesn’t know the difference between Nerves and Excitement…So, Tell yourself You Are Excited instead of Nervous and it Will Help.

Success isn’t Just about what You Accomplish in Your Life, it’s about what You Inspire Others to Do. – Dokeshi Nomichi

DRINK WATER!

In the WINTER you NEED to maintain your water intake! It is all too easy to become dehydrated in the Chaotic Changing Weather and Heat running constantly in the Home, School or Business!

HOW MUCH SHOULD I DRINK?!

Simple: (your body weight) ÷ 2 = the fluid ounces of water you should drink in a typical day  Example- 160 lbs. ÷ 2 = 80 oz. of water/day. This should be a minimum amount for a training day and this number should increase on the days you know exercise is in your schedule!  PLEASE STAY HYDRATED!
