Back-2-School Open House/Bring-A-Buddy Week

Korean Word of the Week
By BKS Faith
Word: 의지. (ui-ji) [we-ji] Determination/Will Power.
Phrase: 의지를 다지다. (ui-ji-reul da-ji-da)
To Strengthen Ones Resolve.
Diving Deeper: Determination and willpower is what allows someone to stay committed even when something becomes difficult. This means ALWAYS FINISH WHAT YOU START, by having a strong mindset and refusing to give up. When something feels like it is out of your control, you persevere and follow through. By having the determination and willpower to keep going, it helps you resist temptation, overcome laziness, and continue to stay focused. It means even when it may be easier to take the simple route, sometimes taking the long route and persevering serves a greater reward. This Saturday is our endurance test and no matter how hard it gets, try to keep pushing yourself. It’s only a few hours of hard work, but after all your tenacity and strength you will see how far your determination can take you. This is not simply wanting to succeed, but the strength and willpower to continue taking action.
Challenge: Try to use the Phrase of the Week at the 도장 (Do Jang)! 가족! Thank You! Tang Soo!!!
A Black Belt is not something you wear, it’s something you Become. – Unknown
